WHAT MODERN MEDICINES ARE USED TO TREAT IT?

  • Modern medicine can be used to treat the whooping cough. For kids 10 years or younger, they could take a DTaP vaccine so they could prevent it. For people 11 years or older, they should take a Tdap vaccine. If the Bordtella Pertussis virus already entered a person’s body, you have to take antibiotics following the schedule the doctor gives you.

ARE THERE ANY HOME REMEDIES TO TREAT IT?

  • You could drink 5 drops of garlic oil 2 or 3 times a day.
  • 5 drops of almond oil could help.
  • When you get whooping cough you dehydrate a lot so you have to drink 10-12 glasses of water only if the person is not bleeding or having diarrhea.
  • If you have chest congestion, you could get few drops of eucalyptus oil and rub the remedy on your chest.
