WHAT IS DIGITAL LEARNING?

  • Digital learning is any type of learning that is accompanied by technology or by instructional practice that makes effective use of technology. It encompasses the application of a wide spectrum of practices, including blended and virtual learning. Digital learning is sometimes confused with online learning or e-learning; digital learning encompasses the aforementioned concepts.

  • Digital learning has become widespread during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • COMPUTER LAB
  • There is a computer lab in our school. There are 2 hours of computer lessons per week for the 5th and 6th grades. Other classes can use it in case of need.

  • 3D PRINTER
  • The contribution of 3D printers to education can be briefly listed as follows; Thanks to the 3D visuals, it becomes easier to explain the subjects that are difficult for students to understand. By printing out small models of examples related to the topics to be covered in the lesson, students' interest and motivation in the lesson are maintained for a longer period of time.

  • It shows some features and important points of the subject to be taught in a more realistic way with the use of Virtual Reality compared to other methods. Since it requires mutual interaction, it enables students to move from passive to active. The student interacts with various objects in the virtual reality environment. By changing the properties of objects, students have the chance to examine and observe them from various angles.

  • -Training based on experience, learning based on content and scenario, rich and efficient, user-interactive learning opportunity, application of the obtained knowledge in the field and allowing trial and error method, motivation created by working in a real scenario, and being digital.

  • -It can be expressed as the ability to work with content to be created on many possible scenarios and the time, space and budget advantage this creates.

  • In art and technology design classes, NFT designs can be made in these studios and offered for sale in various NFT market environments. It offers students the opportunity to make digital design. The proceeds of these sales can also be used for the benefit of the school and students.

THE EFFECT OF ENGLISH READING TEXTS AND STORIES WITH TURKISH SUBTITLES ON LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT ON THE INTERNET

  • This situation has a great impact on language development. When we watch a TV series or movie in English with Turkish subtitles, this helps language development.

  • But if we want to improve our vocabulary in this way, we may need to make comparisons by watching or reading them over and over again.

  • Since the spelling and pronunciation of English are different, we should also pay attention to the pronunciation.
  • Watching movies makes the person familiar with the sounds that the ear is not accustomed to hearing, and increases their awareness.
  • Reading in a foreign language, that is, in the language you have started to learn, will increase your vocabulary. Since you are studying, your general culture level of the region where that language is spoken will increase significantly.
