LF Antitrust Policy Notice
CNCF meetings involve participation by industry competitors, and it is the intention of the Linux Foundation to conduct all of its activities in accordance with applicable antitrust and competition laws. It is therefore extremely important that attendees adhere to meeting agendas, and be aware of, and not participate in, any activities that are prohibited under applicable US state, federal or foreign antitrust and competition laws.
Examples of types of actions that are prohibited at CNCF meetings and in connection with Linux Foundation activities are described in the Linux Foundation Antitrust Policy available at http://www.linuxfoundation.org/antitrust-policy. This is going well for Prometheus eg. with 1.0
Please contribute if you can
Some asks:
9
Docs - Announcement
To confirm from F2F at DockerCon:
CNCF will provide a budget of c.$20,000 per year for tech docs & similar* for CNCF projects, to be spent as project leads see fit
Not just docs, eg. interactive “bootcamps” are OK
10
Tests - Discussion
Proposal: we open up the cluster to any OSS project for a limited time period*
We ask projects to help us figure out “CNCF best practices” for test automation and release engineering. These can evolve into something more fancy later eg. a RelEng ‘service’
→ We may hire someone to help us streamline this
(*) when demand > supply, TOC decides scheduling rules

Other - on hold for today

CNCF Reference Architecture

Application Definition / Development
Cloud Native Services
Cloud Native Runtime
Cloud Native OS / Provisioning
Infrastructure (Bare Metal/Cloud)
Demo!
If time:
Cisco team will demo VPP fast network data plane integration using Calico as example network
Question:
Is this of interest to CNCF? It is an example of a small project adding value to multiple networks (potentially) for Cloud Native use cases.
