THE ELEMENTS
BASICS
1.The 6 elements are all present in the universe, humans, societies.
1.2 Overly embracing one element causes one to become less human
2.They exist in both the conceptual and physical worlds.
3.They can be split into the FPM and VMF triad
4.The elements are divided in the same way as colors, each element overlaps with it’s adjacent elements.
5.Societies are either hexagramic or have their other elements orient themselves around dyad or triad.
APEIRON
Represents everything and nothing, conflict and combination, all elements are expressions of Apeiron
FLESH: Material-Flow: opposes Vast
Central themes: Body, Nature, Fire,
Flesh represents the separation amd assertion of self onto the world, competition, conflict, propagation, immediate somatic emotions,instinct, passion, the cycles of violence and destruction-creation, rugged individualism, catastrophism, individuation.
Cultural symbols: fire, nature, beasts, volcanos, Flesh
METAL: Material-Vast: opposite of Flow
Central themes: Cog of a machine
Metal represents classification, reductionism, blind progression, traditions, routine, ritualism, atomization, identity as role, specialization, pragma love, structure, stability, being a part of something bigger
Cultural symbols: machines, institutions, tools, hivemind
PHANTASM: Flow-Vast: opposite of Material
Phantasm represents ambiguity, luck, extrinsic, subjective, pleasure, creativity, addiction, escapism, moods, anticipated emotions, illusion, meaning that is justified.
Cultural symbols: air, light, sound, language
VAST: Metal-Phantasm: opposite of Flesh
Central themes: The world beyond us
Vast represents gestalts, emergence, community, ego death, deindividuation, communitarianism, people pleasing, big picture, existentialism
Cultural symbols: Sky, Void, clonal colonies, community
MATERIAL: Flesh-Metal: opposite of Phantasm
Central themes: The restrictions which define us, the thing in itself
Material: clarity, meaningless, resourcefulness, intrinsic, pragmatism, deconditioning, ennui, simplicity, focus, self evident truths, pragmatism
Cultural symbols: Physical objects, numbers
FLOW: Flesh-Phantasm: opposite of Metal
Central themes: amorphous form
Flow represents emotions, intuition, animism, adaptability, gradualism, memetics, identity, change, passion
