Welcome to ECE

Meet our team! We have three ECE rooms. Alls rooms have a teacher and a para. We have 3 & 4 year olds in each room

Hours/Phase-in Week

To help with transitioning to school, ECE does a phase-in for a week. With half the class coming Monday, Tuesday and the other half coming Wednesday, Thursday. Then the whole class will come Friday.

Phase-in will be for ONLY the first week of school.

After that, ALL students will attend Monday-Friday 8:50m- 3:45pm

  • Arrival- 8:50am
  • Pickup- 3:45pm (5 mins before K-5)
  • If you arrive after 9am. Please go to the main entrance

First Day of School- Reminders

  • You will receive ECE paperwork that needs to be turned in in addition to registration paperwork. This will include a Health Form that MUST be returned and signed by your child’s doctor.
  • Please have a backpack for your child, mask, and water bottle labeled. Also please pack 2 sets of extra clothes in case of accidents.
  • Bring a blanket and stuffy to keep in your child’s nap bag for the week. We will supply the bag and sheet. They will be sent home on Fridays to wash for the following week.
  • No toys are allowed at school, with the exception of a stuffy for rest time
  • Please be sure that whoever is picking up your child is on the pick-up list (They must be 18+ years to pick up your child.) If there are any changes throughout the school year, please let me know.

Nap Bag

Each Child will have Blue Nap Bag and Sheet provided for them. Bring a blanket and stuffy on their first day to keep for the week. The whole bag will be sent home Fridays and should be returned Mondays

Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures

  • ECE students MUST be signed in to the class each day. Please plan to park and get out with your child to drop them off.
  • Look for your child’s class drop off area on the south side of the building.
  • Each class has a designated spot, with a cart labeled with your child’s teachers and room number. This is where you will sign in and out every day.
  • Please be sure your child has a clean mask for the day when you arrive
  • Dismissal will also be on the south side of of the building. Students will remain inside with one teacher while you sign-out with the other teacher and we will send them out to you.
  • Reminder that whoever comes to pick up your child MUST be 18+ and on the pickup list. If it is the first time someone is picking up your child, be sure they have an ID.
  • Due to licensing rules, you will need to sign in and out with a full signature. See next slide for examples

Health Procedures

  • Keep your child home if they have a fever of 99 and above
  • Please keep them home if they have any covid symptoms
  • Students cannot have fever, vomiting or diarrhea for at least 24 hours before returning to school
  • At school we will be washing hands frequently
  • Teachers will clean toys/materials daily
  • Masks are to be worn in building (not during meals, naps or outside)

    • Data will be shared in parent-teacher conferences and at the end of the year

Communication- Class Dojo

    • You can download the Class Dojo app on your phone or access it through email
    • This will allow parents and teachers to communicate about school updates as well as classroom updates and reminders
    • You will receive info/updates on your own child
    • This will be our main source of communication so please signup and check it regularly

Birthdays

  • If you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday, please let me know in advance.
  • The morning that we celebrate it, you may bring a small, store-bought treat or party favor to give to the class.
  • Due to COVID, you will not be able to join us for the celebration.

Home Visits-Virtual

  • A short, informal visit that is scheduled for your child’s teachers to chat with your family
  • These visits will focus on your hopes and dreams for your child and will give us a chance to get to know each other better in a comfortable setting
  • Let us know if you would like to do one at any time during the year.
  • For now, they will be virtual via googlemeets or zoom
