  • NEWSPAPER AND MAGAZINES
  • PAINT BRUSH - FLAT
  • WHITE GLUE
  • PLASTIC BOWL/CUP
  • WATER TO MIX WITH GLUE
  • SCISSORS TO CUT PAPER

BRAINSTORM AN IDEA -

  • THINK OF AN IMAGE, THE SIZE AND WHAT IT IS TO TELL.
  • SIMPLE MESSAGE AND MAKE SURE WORDS CAN BE READ.
  • THINK ABOUT SHAPES, BALANCE AND SYMMETRY, AND UNITY - HOW IT ALL COMES TOGETHER.
  • COLORS - WHAT COLORS WOULD GRAB ATTENTION?
  • MATERIALS - PAINT, CRAYONS, MARKERS, COLORED PENCILS OR A COMBINATION!

FOOD COLORING COLOR MIXING

MATERIALS -

  • FOOD COLORING - RED, YELLOW, BLUE
  • 6 MIXING BOWLS
  • Paint BRUSHES (or q-tips)

START WITH the 3 primary colors: RED, YELLOW, BLUE

MIX: RED + YELLOW = ORANGE

RED + BLUE = PURPLE

BLUE + YELLOW = GREEN
