What if I need to leave class?

Here’s how to be a respectful, responsible and safe gator when leaving class

Step 1:

Follow your teachers rules about when is an

APPROPRIATE

Time to ask for permission to leave the classroom

SIGN OUT

Using the written form provided by your teacher

SIGN OUT

Using the Google Form on the Chromebook located near the exit door

OR

Leave your phone in your backpack!

Step 3:

The MARSH GATOR’S LANYARD

And wear it around your neck. It should be ON and VISIBLE at all times.

What if I need to go to the health office?

Talk to an adult first to get a health pass!

You must have a health pass or you will be sent back to class.

Step 4:

RETURN THE LANYARD

To the appropriate place and quietly rejoin the class

SIGN BACK IN

Either on the google form or the clipboard

AND

10 minutes of class

Students will not be permitted to leave class

But why?

  • Decrease class disruptions so that students can settle into class and get started on the lesson for the day

  • Students will be present to learn the objective for the day and instructions for the lesson.

  • Encourages students to use appropriate times to use the bathroom and get water (before school, passing periods, nutrition break and lunchtime)

  • Students will be present for closing activities and information about upcoming assignments/homework.
