Like: pituitary glands, adrenal gland , pancreas, pineal glands, thyroid glands, testes and overy.

PITUITARY GLANDS

  • TheĀ pituitary glandĀ is a small endocrine organ located in the middle of the base of the brain. It has 2 parts. Anterior and posterior. it has the shape of a peas. The pituitary gland is termed the "Master Gland" because it directs other organs and endocrine glands to suppress or induce hormone production. Hormones secreted by the pituitary gland include anti diuretic hormone (ADH), corticotropin, growth hormone, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), oxytocin, prolactin, and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH).ļæ½

Function of pituitary gland

. Hormone secreted from the pituitary gland help control the following body processes :

  • Growth

  • *Blood pressure
  • *Some aspects of pregnancy and childbirth including stimulation of uterine contractions during childbirth.
  • *Breast milk production
  • *Sex organ functions in both males and females
  • *Thyroid gland function
  • *The conversion of food into energy (metabolism)
  • *Water and osmolarity regulation in the body
  • * Water balance via the control of reabsorption of water by the kidney
  • *Temperature regulation
  • *Pain relief
  • *Sleeping pattern (pineal gland)

ADRENAL GLANDļæ½

  • There are two adrenal glands in the body. One located a top eachĀ kidney. The adrenal gland produces hormones in both the inner medulla region and the outer cortex region of the gland. Hormones produced within the adrenal cortex region are allĀ steroid hormones. Adrenal cortex hormones include aldosterone (minerelo corticoid), cortisol (glucocorticoid) and sex hormones (sex corticoids)
  • Aldosterone causes the kidneys to secrete potassium and retain water and sodium. This causes blood pressure to rise.
  • Cortisol acts as an anti-inflammatory and helps maintain blood sugar levels and blood pressure.
  • Hormones of the adrenal medulla include epinephrine and norepinephrine. These are secreted in response to stimulation from sympathetic nerves, typically in response to stress.ļæ½

THYROID GLAND & PARATHYROID GLANDS.

  • TheĀ Thyroid Ā is a dual lobed gland located in the neck region. It secretes hormones that control metabolism, growth, heart rate, body temperature, and regulate calcium levels. Hormones secreted by the thyroid include thyroxin, tri-iodothyronine, and calcitonin.
  • Parathyroid glands are found within thyroid tissue. They secrete Parathyroid hormone which regulates calcium levels in the blood.ļæ½

Pineal Gland

The Pineal Gland is a tiny, pinecone shaped endocrine gland found in the centre of brain . It also known as a pineal body . It produces and secretes the hormone melatonin, which is a hormone that helps regulate biological rhythm such as sleep and wake cycle.

Every human being’s Pineal Gland or The third eye can be activated to spiritual world frequencies and enables you to have the sense of all knowing, Godlike euphoria and oneness all around you.

Pancreas

The Pancreas is a elongated organ that lies behind and below the stomach, this mixed gland contains both exocrine and endocrine tissues. Its endocrine part producing several important hormones, including insulin, glucagon, somatostatin, and pancreatic polypeptide which circulate in the blood.

Function

Classically , these are divided into an ā€œendocrineā€ role . The pancreas is involved in blood sugar control and metabolism within the body, and also in the secretion of substances which help digestion, and its ā€œexocrineā€ role ,relating to the secretion of enzymes involved in digesting substance from outside of the body.

Thymus Gland

The Thymus gland , located behind our sternum and between lungs, is only

Active until puberty. Thymosin is the hormone of the thymus, and it stimulates the development of disease-fighting T-cell are white blood cells that protect against foreign organisms( bacteria and virus) that have managed to infect body cells. They also protect the body from itself cancerous cells.

Function

From infancy to adolescence, the thymus is relatively large in size. After puberty, the thymus begins to decrease in size and continues to shrink with age.

A Gonad or Sex gland or reproductive gland is an endocrine gland that produces the gametes (sex cells) of an organism. Males have testicles, or testes, as their gonads, and females have ovaries as their gonads. In the female of the species the reproductive cells are the egg cells, and in the male the reproductive cells are the sperm.
