Why do we use databases for research?

Google:

-Contains “everything” on the web

-Not always good content

-Good content may cost $$

-Hard to filter searches

- Anyone can create content

-Limited, weak, or no citation tools

LC’s Databases:

-Only academic content

-Contains academic journals and strong resources

-Free for you

-Easy note taking tools

-Easy filtering tools

-Provides citation

-Google Drive organization

Schools and libraries subscribe to databases that contain periodicals, ebooks, and more.
