Summer Work

Your student will receive a Scholastic book to work on over the summer. If they return the signed slip in the fall they will get a prize!

We also have provided a Kindergarten packet for your student to work on.

Keep reading to stay ready for first grade!

Last Day

We are looking forward to celebrating the last day of kindergarten on Friday, June 6th.

-We will be outside doing activities and eating lunch outside so be sure your child comes dressed for the weather and has tennis shoes on in order to fully participate in the activities.

-If you want your child to wear sunscreen and/or bug spray, please apply before sending your child to school.

-We will eat our pizza lunch outside on the lawn so please send a towel or small blanket for your child to sit on to eat.

-The afternoon is a regular school day. We will be doing a lot of activities to close out our time together. We ask that you please NOT take your child out early on this last day unless it is really necessary!

Cleanout on Thursday

Please send an extra bag with your child tomorrow - Thursday - so we can send their belongings home.

Harry the Scary Pumpkin Book

The elementary curriculum department is excited to share that the author of Harry the Scary Pumpkin, Joe Spartz, reached out to us and wanted to donate his book to kindergarten students in Anoka-Hennepin. He is a local first-time author. Your student will be bringing home a copy of this book to keep.

Harry the Scary Pumpkin is a heartwarming story of a little pumpkin who hopes to become a jack-o’-lantern. Harry faces challenges, but never stops believing in himself and eventually realizes his dream. This story encourages children to not lose sight of their goals and to have faith in their ability to overcome obstacles.
