Prepare the exam venues

  • Please clear your desk by next Friday, 28 June.

→ Keep your notes/books at home or place them in your lockers.

  • Arrange table single file by Friday, 27 June.
  • Desks and chairs are to be arranged in 5x5 configuration by Wednesday, 12.40-1pm

  • Notice boards should be blank.

→ No seating plans or duty rosters and/or they should covered up with black trash bags.

  • Tidy the Teacher’s table.

  • Form Teachers will check that classrooms are exam ready Tuesday, 2 July.

Get ready your stationery

  • Prepare necessary stationery e.g., black or dark blue ball point pens, 2B pencils, soft erasers, etc.
  • Put all stationery in a clear/colourless, transparent pencil case or plastic bag.

Instructions to take the exam

Attire

  • Students can sit the exam in school uniform or S&W attire.
  • Hair should be neat and tidy.
  • Only SST school jackets allowed.

Punctuality

  • Students are to report to the examination rooms at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the paper.
  • Students are to wait near the lift landing area.

Punctuality

  • Students who are late will not be given extra time.
  • If students arrive after the start of paper, they are to report to the General Office. General Office Admin Executive will call for Presiding Examiner to escort student to the exam room.
  • Students are not allowed to enter the exam room on their own accord.

Entering the exam venue

  • When given the cue, students are to line up outside the classroom.
  • Students can check the Seating Plan pasted on the door.
  • Students are to switch off their handphone and other electronic devices and put them in their school bags.
  • Students are to have their Entry Proof, NRIC/Student Pass, dictionary and stationery with them.
  • Students are to observe silence once they enter the exam venue.

In the exam venue

  • Students are to observe silence as Invigilator starts to distribute exam stationery and question papers.
  • Students are to face the front at all times.
  • Students are required to place their NRIC/Student Pass on the top right-hand corner of their desks.
  • Students are to follow the instructions given by the invigilator.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the examination room before the scheduled end time.

Taking the exam

  • Students should only start writing their answers when told to do so by the invigilator.
  • At the end of the paper, students are to stop writing immediately when told to do so by the invigilator.
  • Students should use pens with black or dark blue ink.
  • Do not use pens with erasable ink.
  • Do not write in pencil.
  • Do not use paper clips, highlighters, glue, correction tapes or correction fluid.

At the end of the paper

  • After the paper, students are to remain seated and silent while the question papers and answer scripts are being collected.
  • No writing paper (used or unused) is to be taken out of the examination room.
