In maths, we have been learning about time. We know to look at the position of the minute hand, then the position of the hour hand. We know that there are 60 minutes in an hour and 24 hours in a day. Well done to the maths superstars who linked their knowledge of fractions to time.

Year 4 News
We have been so impressed this week by year 4’s calm and focused attitude. In English, we’ve started planning TED talks all about recycling. While in art, we loved creating repeat patterns and learning more about William Morris. On Wednesday we went to St Augustine’s and had some time to reflect during the Pentecost service.

Year 5 News
This week in Year 5, we have had the opportunity to learn more about Pentecost in a church service at St. Augustine’s, and some of us went to Sacred Heart Primary school to rehearse for the Totally Thames performance in September! As well as this, the children have been practicing for French day with Judy, learning more about how to hold polite conversations in French and order certain items from the shop!

Tropical Tobago: a peaceful paradise
Looking for a rest? Seeking adventure? Then Tobago is the perfect place for you! Deep within the Caribbean Sea is a magical place, with its beautiful beaches and wonderful waterfalls, which will make your stay unforgettable. With a population of only 60,000, (a quarter of Islington's population) it will be peaceful and you can escape the busy city of London to a calm and relaxed place of Tobago.
Location and Landscape
Tobago is an amazing island in the Caribbean. Nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Sea, it has a range of stunning sights; including beaches, waterfalls and the oldest rainforest in the world- called The Tobago Main Ridge Forest Reserve. Surprisingly, it is only a short distance- 19 miles- to its twin, Trinidad- another paradise island.
Flora and Fauna
Tobago is home to a wide variety of wildlife, from land creatures to sea creatures. In addition, there are many plants including the largest brain coral in the world, which is located in the coast line. In the sea, there are animals including fishes, sea turtles, manta rays and sharks. Land animals include monkeys, parrots and snakes (non-venomous). Furthermore, there are over 200 species of animals. The national bird is called a cocrico and there is also the dazzling Scarlet Ibis- a stunning red bird.
Climate and Culture
Tobago’s climate is hot and humid all year round, giving it a tropical feeling to your stay. There are 2 seasons- the wet and the dry. The dry season is the first 5 months and the wet is the remaining 7 months. Tobago has many activities including dolphin watching, kayaking, dancing, swimming, hiking, sailing and snorkelling- so you can find the perfect activity for you. There are also many types of music like soca, calypso and reggae- some of which Tobago created! They are very lively and fun to listen to.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Tobago is the perfect place for anyone- whether you want to relax or explore. Tobago offers an amazing experience that you will never forget.

This Week’s Tip: 🎮 Take Breaks from Screens
Spending too much time on screens can make you feel tired or distracted. Make sure to take regular breaks to stretch, play outside, or read a book. Balance is key to keeping both your mind and body healthy. 🌳⏸️
