Other facts about Food -

Plants represent more than 80% of the human diet and nutrition, 2050 our population will increase to 9B humans and we will need to increase food production by 60%

250,000 species of higher plants have been described and identified, of which 30,000 species are edible.

Of these, 30 species of plants are the crops that feed the world, while only five cereals (rice, wheat, corn, millet and sorghum) provide 60% of the caloric intake of the world population.
