Executive Summary:
we are a business proposing the development of an app/website called KIS.ME that would give students quick and easy access to information about our institution. We have thought of this because we frequently observe students facing problems with the kis.net website, which can be frustrating and unclear at times. the app will provide features such as offline schedules and profiles, online stockroom, donation box, a reward system and many more.

Our aim is to provide students, staff, and parents alike with an easy to use app detailing all important events circling the school. KIS.NET can oftentimes become quite complicated to navigate through with that, it misses out on many features that could be added to make the school’s standing impactful, offer services to students, and take load off of teachers. Our business mainly plans to serve the students and earn revenue from partnering with renowned national education servicers. Developing this app in a monopolized market for a specific school, we have no competitors. However, this app will be an updated version of the current KISNET that will engage in ethical practices that will give back to the community as well. Our team consists of experts in the area we are exploring. By having a business analyst, a QA, a team of dedicated developers, and heads of financial information, operational practices, human resources departments and marketing strategists, our team is well equipped to take on this business idea.

Currently, kis.me would like to promote the school by partnering with renowned businesses or service providers like Amazon. Spotify, YouTube Premium, or Khan Academy.

We can register our school for the student discounts which are already available since they are used by a majority of students.
2. Khan Academy
Partnering with a non-profit organization like Khan Academy would give great exposure to our school and benefit the students for their SAT preparations.

Kis.me wants to focus on businesses that will increase students’ productivity while providing student discounts on educational service forums. In the near future kis.me would like to partner with more national educational services and businesses.
1. Gaukriti and Eco Friendly Stationery.
Gaukriti is an Indian business entirely built on recycling cow dung. We would like to have the school community be a part of this initiative. This could provide service and SoEx hours for students who are interested.
Eco Friendly Stationery is a business that prioritizes the making of stationery using eco-friendly and organic raw materials.
2. Coursera
Coursera is an online course provider whose instructors and partners are world-class. Their certificate can also be of service to promotions and college applications. With our partnership, students can get a 10% discount on monthly fees.
3. Skillshare
KIS is already big on CAS experiences so, being associated to an online learning community like Skillshare would be a great advantage to students for their skill development, CAS requirements, and college applications.

Revenue Stream
We will get our revenue from alumni( through sales of merchandise or donations ) , parents, partnerships.
We will get approximately 20% commissions from partnerships and merch that we sell to alumni. Our starting capital will be collected through crowdfunding and students’ fee.

Funding Request
Our group will require somewhere between 10 - 15 lakhs in funding. Therefore, we want to obtain investments from the school, parents, alumni, and donations in order to obtain the funds.
We would utilize the funds to purchase new equipment, increase inventory run the business, and pay our workers.

Our new version of KIS.NET will be an integration of the current KIS.NET module and the newer module we will establish. This significantly reduces the cost of developing an entirely new version of the app.
With that 10% of our profits will go to the local community to support Kodaikanal’s local community.

Strengths- As our app KIS.ME has been able to create and make a few more adjustments for instance creating a manual, an online stockroom/gymkhana(Being able to see what is in stock), a one time login system(for a day), etc we made it parent friendly as well as student teacher friendly. KIS.ME has made sure to make your lives easier and quicker.
Weakness- The cost of developing a new app and since the app is not already developed people can/will get impatient.
Opportunities- Since it is a school app with the help of the IT department as well as the principal, dean and the vice principal we will be able to spread the word faster as they have access to everyone(in the school of KIS or has a connection to KIS) email.
Threats- In the future we may not get people to partner with us hence we will not be able to get revenue from those businesses.
