Drawing for Industry
Overview: The Painting for Industry prepares students for a potential career in the arts. Drawing is presented both as a tool that can be used in other art courses and as an art form in itself. Students will utilize design based thinking skills to create original works while learning foundational painting skills along with fundamentals of color theory. Students will explore color theory, idea development, and cognitive choice making. Each level will build on skills and information from the prior classes.
Drawing for Industry I
Students will learn foundational drawing skills to develop their ideas to examine real world problems and themes.
Drawing for Industry II
Students will develop their voice and marketable skills by researching prominent local and global artist. Students will continue to explore skills and techniques learned from the previous course.
AP 2D Art
Students will complete their portfolio and share their work with the community.
Painting For Industry
Painting for Industry I
Students will learn foundational painting skills to develop their ideas to examine real world problems and themes.
Painting for Industry II
Students will develop their voice and marketable skills by researching prominent local and global artist. Students will continue to explore skills and techniques learned from the previous course.

Ceramics For Industry
Overview: The Ceramics for Industry prepares students for a career in designing and producing ceramic wear for individual consumers and mass production. Students will utilize design based thinking skills to create original works while learning foundational hand building skills along with wheel throwing and slip casting. Students will explore functional products, idea development, and cognitive choice making.
Ceramics I
Students will learn the foundational skills to hand build functional pottery and develop their ideas to examine real world problems and themes.
Ceramics II
Students will develop a marketable theme by researching prominent local and global artist. Students will continue to explore skills and techniques learned from the previous course.
AP 3D Art
Students will complete their portfolio and share their work with the community.
