Language Arts Letter Vv (every day)
Letter Vv: Watch a letter Vv song by clicking on the pictures, then practice writing the letter Vv. You can do this with chalk, crayons, pencils, in sand, etc. If your child knows the letter Vv, they can try writing words with the letter Vv in it. Start a Vv word collection by drawing Vv words, cutting out pictures from magazines or taking pictures of objects that start with Vv. Add to this all week.

Language Arts: Listen to the Story Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!. What kind of things do you want to do in Kindergarten? / Escucha la historia ¡Cuidado con el jardín de infantes, aquí vengo! ¿Qué tipo de cosas quieres hacer en Kindergarten?
Letters: Review all the letter sounds with the song. Practice writing your name. If you can do that, practice your last name or your family members’ names. / Revise todos los sonidos de letras con la canción. Practica escribiendo tu nombre. Math: Go on a shape hunt around your house or neighborhood. What can you find that is a circle, triangle, square, or rectangle. How about cylinder, sphere, cube, or cone? Language Arts: Listen to Ms. Haas read Are You My Mother on Flip Grid. What makes your mom (or grandmother or other special lady in your life) special? Science: Find a spot to sit in your house or outside. What can your different senses tell you about this place? What do you see? Hear? Smell? Taste? Math: Play memory. Gather a collection of small things (start with about 5 items, but go up as your child masters the game) and a blanket. Allow your child to observe the collection of items for about 30 seconds, and then cover it with the blanket and remove an item without your child seeing. Uncover the the collection and have your child guess what’s missing. Repeat this several times. / Jugar memoria. Math: Use different colors or shapes to draw or create a repeating pattern. Can you make a pattern with 2 objects? 3? Math: Watch the subitizing video. Practice subitizing by rolling a die and telling the number as quickly as you can without counting. See if you can tell the “shapes” of each number on the die (ex. 5 is X, 6 is rectangle). Can you tell the numbers on 2 dice together? / Mira el video de subitizing. Fine Motor: Use clothespins, chip clips, tweezers, chopsticks, or something similar to move objects (cotton balls, noodles, or other small objects) from one container to another. / Use pinzas para la ropa, pinzas, pinzas, palillos o algo similar para mover objetos (bolas de algodón, fideos u otros objetos pequeños) de un recipiente a otro.
Math: 1. Using sidewalk chalk, create a number line on your driveway or sidewalk (or use paper to write numbers and spread them out) where you child can easily hop or run between the numbers zero and ten. 2. Have your child to walk the line, counting each number aloud as he moves. 3. Have your child stand at the beginning or end of the number line. Call out a number and ask him to run to that number and shout out the number when he lands on it. 4. Another fun way to use the number line is to give your child beanbags (or rocks) to toss to numbers as you call them out. 5. When you it’s time to clean up, give your child a water filled spray bottle to spray each digit away as you call them. / 1.
