Uses of simple present tense

e.g., The sun rises in the east.

Things to note
Adverbs of frequency (time) like always, often, usually, generally, rarely, regularly, occasionally, never, seldom, annually, daily, everyday, every month, every week, several times etc. can be used in simple present tense.

When ‘is’ or ‘are’ are used without ‘ing’ it denotes
