What is ROAR?

ROAR is a time during the day when all students and teachers can meet together. During ROAR, students will be:

• working on iReady math lessons. Headphones are available so that students can listen to their math lessons.
• CK-12 Science
• read
• receive intervention from academic teachers (e-hall pass will be used for this)
• receive enrichment from academic teachers (e-hall pass will be used for this)
• work on homework/ get help on homework

Accountability:

At Jackson we ROAR! Accountability is the A in ROAR. Accountability will be our focus this year. Students will be learning ways to help themselves be accountable throughout the year. At the beginning of the year we will focus on accountability for school work with a focus on using an agenda book or planner to keep track of assignments.

Personal Electronic Devices

Personal Electronic Devices (cell phones, earbuds/airpods, headphones, etc) are to be put away during Academic Reinforcement. There is a cell phone holder at the front of the room for students to use so that they are not tempted to get out their phones during class.
