could not be trusted since they lacked transparency with financials and their assets. The donors were skeptical of them and they needed validation to see if NGOs can be trusted.

User Insight and Problems Being Solved

  • User insight statement: During our interviews, we discovered that people are tired of how traditional charities work. They run ineffective ads that are negative, lack transparency in providing updates on their donations, and do not serve the marginalized community as much as they should have. Most people felt skeptical and misled about where their donations are going and how it's making a difference.

  • Problem Statement: Nahow is an NGO that actively supports the development of Cameroon. We have observed traditional NGOs like Nahow are not giving its donors enough transparency in providing updates on their donations. This has caused an increase in skepticism among their donors and loss of credibility of the website.

How might we improve Nahow’s website so that we can build more trust with our audience?

  • Solution: We think “seeing is believing;” therefore, by providing more transparency about our organization’s activities and finances. We aim to attract more visitors to our website and build trust with our audience.

  2. We’re believable because we provide evidence of activities and fiances on our website and social media
