What is a Multigenre Writing Project?

1. Students choose their topic and Research it.

2. Once they have learned all about their topic, they start writing about it.

3. Students create different types of writing (essay, poems, journals, historical fiction, etc).

4. Students create a presentation and share it.

Then and Now...

This project started very traditionally. Students would pick a topic, research, write a paper, and make a poster.

As I've added more genres of writing and technology, students have become more engaged, motivated, and creative.

Students' writing skills are what's important. Technology is how we inspire, motivate, and differentiate.
