To create Material Master for Split Valuatoin management, you first create the Plant Level Accounting View where you assign the Valuation Category. The Plant level or TOP level Accounting view is Mandatory
When first creating Material, you cannot find the Valuation Type in the Org Level Selection dialogue
Plant, no Valuation Type yet (the “Top level” Accounting data view)
Valuatoin Category “C” assign to the Plant level to activate Split Valuation Definition
Val.Class mandatory but will not be used
MAP = “V” but purpose of this Plant Accounting view is only for statistical total of all Val.Type Qty and Stock values only.
In MM60, you can now see the Material Accounting view at Plant level without Valuation Type.
Since the material was activated for split valuation, you cannot perform any goods movement for this material using this Accounting view.
You have to extend the Material’s Accounting data view to the Valuation Type level in order to use it for goods movement at the Valuaton Type level.
