WorkItems only focused on workshop

Website brief: It should be a channel to develop a DYI

  • Activity Modeling of relevant jobs we want to facilitate with our website. Brief o minimum set of tasks that people should be able to do.
    • Get the Why in less than 3 minutes;
    • Create a profile and
    • Get amazed and inspired by being able to look at the model;
    • Download the files immediately in different file types

  • List of relevant functionality.
    • Now we have tested the 3D visualization
    • I would like to have a map with locations of close events, join an event close to where you live

. Make a new event and we will train you. The idea is to have a spatial and scheduling match, so that people can see what is happening close to their location, or get inspired by filling a spatial (geographic gap).

  • Profiling service: I saw a very nice profiling in sketch fab, where you can easily integrate with facebook APIs and services, to get people to meet each other, etc.

Jose: Assumptions behind web-site development

Credits + License:

The web-site development always reflect the quality of the organization, and part of the enterprise architecture. This is a good reference to always keep in mind.

  • The website is a channel to reach our customers/community (it is a mean to realize the business model) I see the website as a component of the enterprise architecture
  • The business model currently being proposed is to develop DIY products of a certain kind (the enable, facilitate economic empowerment in a sustainable manner).
  • We are probably working with wordpress right?

What is the probblem:

  • OSE has an already complex ICT ecosystem: Wiki; Community-network; and the website. As I see it the website is the channel to reach customers, launch our products, recruit people, get general information on the organization.
  • Our goal with this sub-project is to improve the current solution, because it doesn’t satisfy the requirements goals of this website.
  • Correct me if I am wrong :)

Simplified Scope Around an OSE product: D3D

Credits + License:

For me in order to scope properly website requirements, I try to visualize the business context. To do so I started visualizing OSE as an organization here and the underlying assumptions. This also helps OSE to validate what is the perception of a developer of what the Organization is about, and how the website is a a channel

Make some assumptions

1)Printers difficult to put together 2) Industrial 3D printers are very expensive 3) 3D printers are not currently design for extensibility, re-creation, etc.

As in Free Code-Camp we can have a list of projects for the purpose of teaching people how to develop skills and capacity to become an Open Hardware developer.

> We could have a list of mechanism printing,

> Electronic projects, and educational materials… Training and exercises, using the d3D as a laboratory for people to explore new concepts, and challenges…..

D3D 3D Printer marketing

See notes below

First: Why 3D printer? The 3D printer is one of our stepping stone machines for several reasons:

  1. It is the first fully Open Source Product that delivers complete use-value like any other product.
  2. It is also a mean of production, and therefore is an empowering product to get you started in our roadmap to the Open Source Economy.

Why our printer? It is a 3D printer, that embodies requirements for circular long-lasting products:

  1. It is design to be easily upgraded and adapted do to its highly modular design
  2. It is the friendliest model in regard to assembly, disassembly and fixing.
