WHAT IS A CONTENT CURATOR?

  • A content curator is someone who takes something they’re interested in and does a lot of research on the topic to build a better understanding of the topic. The curator would then develop a list of resources that relate to that topic.
  • The resources are those that show different perspectives and ideas about the topic.
  • The list of resources can be in the form of “top ten” or “best ways to..” and etc.

WHAT IS YOUR JOB?

For this project, I would like you to choose a topic you are interested in and curate a list of appropriate, educational, interesting, and fun YouTube videos that provide your audience with different perspectives, ideas, and information about your topic.

You will compile your list of videos into a google slides presentation.

In addition, you will write a short summary of what you learned from the videos you provided.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR IN YOUR PROJECT.

  1. Choose an interesting topic and do some research about your topic and other topics related to yours.
  2. Search YouTube and look for educational, interesting, fun, and appropriate videos related to your topic and other topics related to yours that builds the understanding of your topic to viewers. (Videos should provide information with no bias)
  3. Create a google slides. On each slide, post the link of your video and a short summary of what the video is about and what important information we may find in the video.
  4. At the end of your slides, provide a summary of the information you learned about your topic. You can provide any additional ideas/opinions/thoughts about your topic in the final slide as well.

  • There are about 1500 active volcanoes on our planet, and even more on the ocean floor. This video provides information about volcanoes including how and where volcanoes form, the different shapes and sizes, the elements found in volcanoes.
