A look back to Module 1

In our first session we started by asking you to fill in a questionnaire about your business. Now it is time to take the questionnaire again and see what progress you have made!

A quick reminder

What is the business monitoring tool?

A tool for entrepreneurs that looks at 6 dimensions of the business - such as marketing and operations - to determine what stage of development a company is at and what the next steps are to improve.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11y5aeIa7tOiLEMu0TlYPc7Qo8bJv2oZk/edit#gid=517751131

We will look at your business and compare the results with the answers you gave in module 1, and check on your progress.

Business Monitoring

Remember!

You can keep using the business monitoring tool in the future to check on your improvements and prioritize areas for improvement. Make a schedule of when you’ll want to be able to use it again see your own progress and can continue using the tool afterwards.

What is it?

Self Reflection

Self-reflection is about taking the time to think about yourself and your own life. We are so busy that we rarely take the time to self-reflect. There are many different areas of our lives that we can reflect on. For example:

  • Are you happy?
  • How do you feel about yourself?
  • Do you feel healthy?
  • Are you managing your time well?
  • Are you organized?

The power of hindsight!

How do you think reflecting about things that have happened can be helpful?

What does it mean for your business?

Self Reflection

How can self-reflection help you and your business?

  • Identifying patterns of both successes and failures
  • Confidence boosting and identifying abilities
  • Honesty with where you are and where you are going

Incorporating Self Reflection

Self Reflection

How can I incorporate self-reflection into my schedule?

Example:

  • The most organized entrepreneur knows that little things come up during the day that can derail the best-laid plans. Having a set time, either at the beginning or the end of the day, will allow you to reflect on the events that have occurred, or to set your intention for what you would like to happen. As you sit down for your initial sessions, you might use these questions to guide you in your process:
  • What has gone well today?
  • Where have I succeeded?
  • What has not gone well?
  • What would I have liked to have done differently?
  • What skills would I like to work on to be a more productive person?
  • How can I take action in order to make that ideal picture happen?
  • What are some steps I can take tomorrow?

What about you?

    • Personal perspective and a business perspective

    • Why was this significant to you?
