Understanding the Problem

Heart Disease is the #1 Killer in America

It Disproportionately Affects Black People

Being Healthy is Lonely & Hard

So when we thought aout the hackathon idea, we really thought about the prompt.The prompt of this challenge really resonated with my teammates and I. I mean, just last week, my teammate drove her 40 year old neighbor to the hospital--

She described the look in her neighbor’s eyes and how afraid she felt knowing that her health was declining. She suffered a stroke and was then diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes. After hearing this story, I was deeply touched and could not help but think about about the diseases that ran in my family’s history.

We began to think - how can we change is?

The truth is, heart disease is the leading cause of death for Americans and it kills Black people earlier and at a disproportionate rate compared to white America. You probably know someone who suffers from diseases like Hypertension, Diabetes, Obesity and I can tell you much of this pain can be avoided by leading a healthier style, starting from a young age. Not only this, but being healthy is a challenge that has been magnified by the pandemic.

And an app that ensures that you get the most out of your workout. Using unique machine learning pose analysis to automatically count reps and make sure competitors are playing fair.
And lastly, our calorie tracker feature that revolutinizes the way we count our calories. It’s as easy as taking a pic of your meal and getting real time stats on nutrition.
