Butler County Need Statements

  1. Students need a way to express feelings of anxiety/depression so they can discover new pathways to develop self confidence and self worth beyond social media.
  2. Students need access to addiction support services so that they can find needed support services for both personal and in home issues with addiction.
  3. Students need a one stop shop for resources and activities so that they can link and have access to after school and extracurricular activities.
  4. Employers need a way to better understand the resources and partnerships that are available with the school system so that they can understand how they can connect to school resources that will benefit their business.
  5. Parents need a way to learn how to best help their child that takes into account their busy schedule so that they can support their child's education within the home.
  6. The community needs a way to define a shared vision of what future growth and expansion would look like in our community so that they can provide growth for younger adults while maintaining the characteristics of our unique small town.
  7. SACS Review: Butler County Schools needs to regularly engage all stakeholders in the development, review, and refinement of standards based curriculum in order to meet the needs of the students, families, community, and business world while also meeting the standards for assessment of instructional standards.
  8. SACS Review: Butler County Schools needs a consistent way to collaborate as instructional staff members on the development of rigorous curriculum and instructional programs that fosters student collaboration, problem solving, and inquiry to challenge students at high levels.

  • The County needs a way to encourage the establishment of industrial support through local and regional partners with a focus on workplace, infrastructure, and amenity development so they can increase per capita income and availability of quality jobs.
  • The County needs a way to strengthen and diversify the economic base of Butler County so they can support entrepreneurs and attract new business to Butler County.
  • The County needs a way to partner with school clubs and extracurricular that support the development of entrepreneurial skills and knowledge in order to help guide and serve the entrepreneurs of our future.
