Glasses Check

  1. Please distribute glasses to students at this time.
  2. Take a moment to send extra glasses to the Main Office NOW before moving on with the lesson. This helps to ensure that extras are available to those who may need them.
  3. If you are in need of more glasses then please send a student to the office with the number of glasses needed. This can be done before or after the lesson.

NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT AN ECLIPSE WITHOUT PROPERLY WORN ECLIPSE GLASSES

Why?

During a solar eclipse, the Moon covers part of the Sun. But the brightness of the uncovered part of the Sun does not change. This can cause serious damage to the retina at the back of the eye. A solar filter or solar eclipse glasses must be used.

Know When to Use Eclipse Glasses

Eclipse viewing experts advise,“You need to use eclipse glasses whenever the disk of the Sun itself can be seen.”

This means: Wear the glasses at any time during the eclipse today. Sunglasses will not provide proper protection.
