The group acknowledged early on the need for money flow rather than held. Money to be invested in community providers to enable a personalised approach. The investment must come from a range of funders and people to keep it affordable.

Co-Production | What Does it Take?

(This is the real work!)

The menu of activities described is associated with ongoing work by GreenSPring on the levels of need appropriate to the service offer.

GreenSpace piloted the use of mental health levels of need and was funded by NASP, demonstrating the psychological safety linked to the VCFSE offers. That work was inspired by the webinar by Philippa Buchanan on the levels for the arts and culture (5min in), which also links these levels of need to standardised measuring tools and career progression and qualifications.

By establishing levels of need associated with the delivery of activities, the outcomes are:

  • Increase in quality assurance
  • Appropriate referrals made
  • Improved communication between referrers and providers
  • Strengthens the referral pathways
