  • Sign in to your IXL account at www.ixl.com
  • Hover over “My IXL” in the navigation bar and select Roster
  • Enter student last name to search for students
  • Click on the student name to add to your roster

  • Students can select either Language Arts or Math by using the dropdown menu on the right
  • Click on “Learning” to begin their individual learning path when finished with Diagnostic

Universal and Targeted Intervention

Targeted Intervention

Universal Intervention

Universal Intervention is for ALL students and will take place 15 minutes at the beginning of class using IXL.

Targeted Intervention is a small group of students (5 or less) focusing on a specific skill with teacher assistance.

Students working on a computer while the teacher sits or stands with no student interaction.

Targeted Intervention is not

Intervention and WVMTSS

Intensive instruction is provided if the student is not able to progress after a suggested minimum of 4.5 weeks of targeted instruction.

Refer a student at this point to the SAT process.

Referral forms are located in the teacher mailroom and on the SCCHS Informational Section 23-24 Google Classroom

6 - 8 SCCHS Intervention

  • Universal Intervention during the first 15 minutes of ELA and Math class using IXL
  • Pull a small group of students (5 or less) for Targeted Intervention during the first Universal Time and/or during the Scheduled Intervention time.
  • Notify the related arts teachers of the Targeted Intervention schedule
  • Discuss in PLC who needs Targeted Intervention-Make part of the grade level PLC
  • Coordinate with Skills/Test Prep and Intervention teachers to plan and implement student intervention-Make part of the grade level PLC
  • Document the Intervention for students
  • Refer to SAT if after 4.5 weeks of targeted intervention the student is not showing adequate progress
  • Ask questions if there is something you do not fully understand
