from the DMS module
we have a picture in the network directory that is to be assigned to a SAP DMS Document and later assign the SAP DMS Doc to the SAP PS Project
to create a SAP DMS Document, use transaction code CV01N
the Document number is a 25 character/number field and can be either “external number” (user entry) or “internal number” (system generate)
the Document Type is not only for grouping of documents but also decide the number ranges allowed for the document fied
Use Document Part 000 for the first document
Use Document Version 00 for the first document, it is the combination of Document # + Document Type + Document Part + Document Version that uniquely identifies a Document
Optional “Log field” entry (documentation only), not required
System found an appropriate “Viewer” application from the SAP GUI installed
The Network path where the document is located
initial status is “WR”

System generated an internal number, next goto change mode or transaction code CV02N and change status from status
WR - IW - RL
make status changes one-after-another until final status “RL”

You can assign a DMS document to the Network Activity
You can also assign a DMS document to the WBS,
in this case, let’s assign the newly created DMS Doc to this WBS

Open the project again
note the DMS Document assigned to the WBS
click “Original Application File” ICON
Display the document content
