The Hammer Montessori Foundation (HMF) is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that raises funds to support programs that benefit students, teachers, and families for Hammer Montessori at Galarza Elementary.

Hammer is a K-5 public Montessori magnet elementary school in

San Jose Unified School District. If you have a student at Hammer Montessori, you’re automatically a member of the HMF!

HMF sponsors school events to build community and raises funds for arts education, field trips, supply teachers with Montessori and other class materials, hosts Project Cornerstone, and much, much more. Our work is led by a board of elected parents, the principal, and a faculty member, and is coordinated and carried out by parent volunteers.
