ABC: History CLIO
You will go on the Portable Mariner Media Center scroll down and find the login information in the Super Secret Passwords.
Once you are in, this is what your screen should look like.
If you press Switch Databases, this is what you will see. You are able to select which database is the best choice for the time period you are researching.
How the website works
For example, I chose to research the Modern Era. The website displays these pictures to show what choices you’ll have for your research.
The bottom of the website has sections that can lead you to more information (like technical support or advanced search information).
Regular Search
Want to know the first step of searching?
Click which kind of History you are looking for and then put your terms in the search bar.
For example, a search for the term “Holocaust” retrieved 56 results.
Advanced Searching
Once you choose what you are going to search, you can narrow down your sources to specific kinds of documents or images.
Think about what kinds of sources are the most useful for your research.
At the top of your source you have the options to save, email and then cite your source.
If you can’t find what you need after you have narrowed down your choices, try ProQuest or EbscoHost!
