Guidelines for Canvas Content

  • Teachers will post assignments with clear instructions in Canvas.
  • Students will digitally submit work in Canvas, teachers will digitally grade work in Canvas.
  • Teachers will post a way to communicate with students to provide support. Recommendation: Use a Canvas Pinned Discussion
  • Recommendations:
    • Post an agenda in Canvas with objectives, links to assignments & instructions, so students can easily see what is required.
    • Students will be provided with a computer and wifi if needed. The district will not provide other tools, like a printer. So make sure students do not have to print anything.
    • All students have Google. They don’t all have Office. Send docs as Google Docs or PDFs only.
    • Be flexible with due dates and requirements, as some students may not have access each day.
