Psalm 113

1 Praise the Lord

Praise the Lord, you his servants;

praise the name of the Lord.

2 Let the name of the Lord be praised,

both now and for evermore.

3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.

7 of 100

4 The Lord is exalted over all the nations,

his glory above the heavens.

5 Who is like the Lord our God,

the One who sits enthroned on high,

6 who stoops down to look

on the heavens and the earth?

8 of 100

7 He raises the poor from the dust

and lifts the needy from the ash heap;

8 he seats them with princes,

with the princes of his people.

9 He settles the childless woman in her home

as a happy mother of children.

Praise the Lord.

Behold the power of His word,

He spoke, creation came to be,

I will trust His promise.

11 of 100

He hung the stars, a guarantee,

His word is strong enough for me,

I will trust His promise.

12 of 100

Generations rise,

Generations fall,

But His word is living

And His word is sure,

Evermore, evermore, evermore!

13 of 100

There is salvation in His word,

His voice has called us from the grave,

I will trust His promise.

14 of 100

We are surrounded by His grace,

Here in the midst of those He’s saved,

I will trust His promise.

15 of 100

Generations rise,

Generations fall,

But His word is living

And His word is sure,

Evermore, evermore, evermore!

16 of 100

Our eyes have seen, our ears have heard,

We are a witness to the power of Your word!

So we will tell Your promises are good.

In Jesus Christ we have your ev’ry word fulfilled!

In the darkness, we were waiting

Without hope, without light.

Till from heaven You came running

There was mercy in Your eyes.

21 of 100

To fulfil the law and prophets

To a virgin came the Word,

From a throne of endless glory

To a cradle in the dirt.

22 of 100

Praise the Father,

Praise the Son,

Praise the Spirit, Three in One.

God of glory, Majesty,

Praise forever to the King of Kings.

23 of 100

To reveal the Kingdom coming

And to reconcile the lost,

To redeem the whole creation

You did not despise the cross.

24 of 100

For even in Your suffering

You saw to the other side,

Knowing this was our salvation

Jesus, for our sake You died.

25 of 100

Praise the Father,

Praise the Son,

Praise the Spirit, Three in One.

God of glory, Majesty,

Praise forever to the King of Kings.

26 of 100

And the morning that You rose

All of heaven held its breath,

Till that stone was moved for good

For the Lamb had conquered death.

27 of 100

And the dead rose from their tombs,

And the angels stood in awe,

For the souls of all who’d come

To the Father are restored.

28 of 100

And the Church of Christ was born

Then the Spirit lit the flame,

Now this gospel truth of old

Shall not kneel shall not faint.

29 of 100

By His blood and in His Name

In His freedom I am free,

For the love of Jesus Christ,

Who has resurrected me.

What gift of grace is Jesus my Redeemer;

There is no more for heaven now to give.

He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom,

My steadfast love,

My deep and boundless peace.

48 of 100

To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus,

For my life is wholly bound to His.

Oh how strange and divine,

I can sing all is mine,

Yet not I, but through Christ in me.

49 of 100

The night is dark but I am not forsaken,

For by my side, the Saviour He will stay.

I labour on in weakness and rejoicing,

For in my need, His power is displayed.

50 of 100

To this I hold, my Shepherd will defend me.

Through the deepest valley He will lead.

Oh the night has been won,

And I shall overcome,

Yet not I, but through Christ in me.

51 of 100

No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven,

The future sure, the price it has been paid.

For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon,

And He was raised to overthrow the grave.

52 of 100

To this I hold, my sin has been defeated,

Jesus now and ever is my plea.

Oh the chains are released,

I can sing, I am free!

Yet not I, but through Christ in me.

53 of 100

With every breath I long to follow Jesus,

For He has said that He will bring me home.

And day by day I know He will renew me,

Until I stand with joy before the throne.

54 of 100

To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus

All the glory evermore to Him!

When the race is complete,

Still my lips shall repeat,

Yet not I, but through Christ in me.

Would you rather always have to sing instead of speaking, or have to dance everywhere you walk?

61 of 100

Would you rather witness the stilling of the storm on the Sea of Galilee, or be in the crowd for the feeding of the 5,000?

62 of 100

Would you rather live a short life of glory or live a long one of obscurity?

Most merciful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

we confess that we have sinned in thought, word and deed.

We have not loved you with our whole heart.

We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves.

In your mercy forgive what we have been,

help us to amend what we are, and direct what we shall be; that we may do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with you, our God.

Amen.

97 of 100

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

and the love of God

and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit

be with us all evermore.

Amen

Hallowed be Your name

Your kingdom come, Your will be done

On earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread, and

forgive us our debts as we also have

forgiven our debtors. And lead us not

into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Amen
