Stubble burning :-
The practice of deliberately burning the straw stubble by farmers, left after the harvest of grains like wheat, rice etc.

Sustainable approach for stubble waste management
Pyrolysis conversion of waste biomass into activated biochar and other useful resources
Key feature:- Biochar is an excellent adsorbent for the removal of harmful organic and inorganic aqua pollutants
Application
Installation of low-cost bio-char based carbon filter into modified Hand-pump in essential areas.
Pyrolysis and hydrothermal carbonization have received much attention and are regarded as representative thermal techniques in the dry and wet conversion of bio-waste.
There are various advantages associated with pyrolysis, such as waste reduction, versatility (variety of waste can be handled), energy generation, renewable fuels generation, economic viable etc.

Note:- In low level water region, most of the farmers for agricultural production rely on sewage treated water. Due to low compatibility of water treatment technologies large no. of toxins get enter into food chain.
Approach:- Installation of bio-char based carbon filter junction for effective purification of sewage-treated water
