The Basics

Cricket is a bat and ball game. Two teams of eleven players take turn batting and bowling/fielding. Two batters are on the field at once and there is one bowler bowling to them. There are also 10 other fielders who are on the bowling team.

Each batter is placed in front of a wicket, which are spaced out by 22 yards, making a pitch. The bowler needs to bowl the ball and knock down the wicket of the batter to get them out.

Batters can score runs by hitting the ball that is bowled and running between the wickets. There is a certain number of balls the batting team can play. The teams take turns batting and the winner is the team who scored more runs.
