When choosing your colors for each band of light, using ANALOGOUS COLORS is a great way to make sure they keep their hue and don’t get muddy when they mix!

To create the illusion of space, make sure the trees closer to the foreground are larger and have more detail than those farther back on the horizon. On the northern lights, consider making your closest color band with the brightest colors.
