Next Steps

    • Test out the different features!
  • Math: Look around Eedi
    • If your student will be in the math program, you can login with your student’s credentials found under Student Details on your Tutor Portal (do not make your own account)
  • Reading: Look around Readworks
    • Create a free educator account with your Step Up email
    • Browse around the library
  • Check off the Action Items on your Tutor Portal if you haven’t yet
    • Attend Welcome Orientation
    • Update availability (select your time zone)
  • Once you are matched, schedule your first meeting with the student’s family
    • If you have been matched, did you receive your text thread with your student’s guardian?
  • Begin tutoring!
    • Remember that sessions must be at least 45 minutes long!
    • Requesting a substitute within the first 2-3 weeks of a match being made is not advised in order to build a strong connection with your student.
