COACHES & RUN LEADERS

You’re in safe hands - Edmonton RC was Runner-Up in the 2024 England Athletics Club of the Year Awards (London), recognised for its inclusivity and diversity!

  • An 8-week programme, slowly building up confidence in running, with plenty of walking intervals and encouragement.

  • Culminating in participation in a parkrun in Grovelands Park (5 km).

  • A proven and successful C25K programme.

  • Twice weekly sessions led by fully qualified England Athletics Run Leaders, with a Warm-up focused on conditioning, mobility and injury prevention, and a Cool-Down.

  • A weekly session set as “homework” to complete in your own time.

PROGRAMME BENEFITS

  • Small groups (target is a 6:1 participant to Run Leader ratio for each session).

  • Fully licensed, risk assessed and insured.

  • A dedicated WhatsApp group as your support network, plus the wider camaraderie and encouragement of Edmonton RC members.

  • A great pathway to join Edmonton RC upon completion, with membership included until 31st January 2026 (note, excludes England Athletics affiliation).

  • Get Running with ‘Couch to 5k’ by Edmonton Running Club
  • A fun and supportive 8-week course for total beginners and anyone returning to running. Gradually build up your running ability and fitness using our ‘Couch to 5K’ programme, with the goal of completing a 5km parkrun in November.
  • You will be guided on your journey by our England Athletics qualified Run Leaders, with support and cheerleading provided by our encouraging members.
  • Twice weekly sessions; on Saturday mornings at 10am in Grovelands Park, and Tuesday evenings at 7pm from Hazelwood Sports Club, Winchmore Hill.
  • Starts: Saturday 13th September at 10am
  • First Session: Grovelands Park, Bourne Hill entrance, N14 6QX
  • Cost : £45 (including membership until 31st January 2026)

WHAT IS THE GOAL

  • Beginners (Completely new to running).

  • Anyone coming back from injury, illness or maternity.

  • Those looking for a health kick-start in the new year.

  • You need to be 18+, have a basic level of mobility, and be committed to a 8 week programme (and homework).

  • Tuesday | Hazelwood Sports Club, Winchmore Hill, Enfield

  • Thursday | Homework – your chosen location!

WHERE DOES IT TAKE PLACE

  • Duration; 9 weeks, starting on Saturday September 13th 2025

  • Culminating in completion of a 5km parkrun at Grovelands park on Saturday November 8th 2025.

  • Fully Qualified and DBS checked England Athletics Run Leaders – at least 2 per session on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

  • Programme cost = £45 (payable in advance)
