Background on subscription databases

What is a Subscription Database?

    • Journals, magazines, reports, documents, newspapers, books, images, collections, and more. Provided via libraries and people who are active members of these libraries
    • Libraries purchase them for patrons

Why use Subscription Databases for research?

    • Benefits include: peer reviewed by people with experience in the field
    • Anyone can post an article on a website as opposed to peer reviewed journal
    • Internet search engines may not provide you with quality articles on your research topic. They don’t search for results in the same way.
