DSAEA Student Demographics

  • Immigrants are an important part of DSAEA and primarily of working age.
  • Nearly half of immigrant adults are parents of young kids.
  • More than 100,000 DSAEA area adults are limited English proficient (LEP).
  • Nearly one-third of DSAEA area adults in the workforce are immigrants and most are employed in low-skilled jobs.
  • Immigrant workers provide essential COVID-19 response.
