The Cub Scout Program

  • In Cub Scouting, you and your family join in on the program with your child, and you will help them along the way.
  • Cub Scouts work on adventures and as they advance, they will earn badges and other recognition that they wear on their uniform.
  • As your child grows in Cub Scouting, your role will change with them, from hands-on involvement to guiding and coaching

Your child’s success in Cub Scouting depends on you!

A Commitment for Success

The Cub Scouting program takes place at two levels:

Your child will be a part of a den, a small group of Cub Scouts in the same grade level and who are of the same gender.

90 mins per month

Timing depends on den

All dens, from TK-5, make up a pack. Once a month, the dens, with their families, come together at the pack meeting and Cub Scouts are recognized for the adventures and badges they have earned.

Cub Scouting - It’s a Family Thing!

The Cub Scout Program depends on scouts AND their families.

We cannot be successful as a pack unless parents are involved with scout adventures ~and~ volunteer at the pack level

Some events where parents can get involved

  • Hike planning
  • Campout planning & on-site coordination
  • Pinewood Derby planning & day-of help

Some year-long commitments which help the Pack run smoothly

  • Committee co-chair
  • Historian, Website & Social Media
  • Den Assistant

Volunteer Expectations

Since Cub Scouts cannot be successful without Parent involvement, we REQUIRE parents to be involved at the den & pack level

Parents Committee:

  • At least one parent from each den needs to be a member of the parents committee
  • Being a member of the parents committee helps to guide the pack on a variety of needs without having to be the sole person running an event

Rank Level Events Coordination:

  • Fall Campout - Wolves & Bears Families (2nd & 3rd grade)
  • Fall Overnighter - Wolves (2nd grade)
  • Food Bank - TBD
  • Blue & Gold - Webelos II (5th grade)
  • Earth Day School Bus - TBD
  • Spring Overnighter - Wolves (2nd grade)
  • Spring Campout - Webelos I (4th grade)
  • Picnic - Tigers (1st grade)
  • Summer Day Camp - TBD
