Overview

Currently, the CBS Sports app onboarding process isn’t up to standards with its competitors. Comparing our app to competitors allows us to improve the current design of the onboarding process, making it easier for users to create accounts. ��

Current State of Onboarding Process

  • Update is needed to keep up with standards from competing apps
  • Account creation isn’t a priority
    • No direction to create an account is directed for the user (before or after current process)
  • Lack in variety for user to choose favorites
    • Only picking teams is available to pick from

What’s Added?

  • Account creation has been added to the process once the user goes through picking their favorites
    • Having the option to make an account with email, Google or Facebook
    • Pop-Up showing user where they can find their account to change favorites once onboarding process is completed
    • Even if account isn’t created, having a profile icon on the top bar makes the option available at any point when using the app
  • Added a ‘search/search all’ feature for all favorite picks
    • New ways to browse
      • Local teams, featured section (based on your favorite leagues), top players
  • More engaging copy has been added
