What is a Transcript?

Your academic record of high school classes and grades
Shows your performance and graduation status
Important for colleges, universities, and some employers
Your transcript is confidential and can only be released with your authorization.

Your transcript is a recording of every class that you take in high school. World Language and Algebra I/Integrated I taken in the middle school will appear on your transcript in the 9th grade column. Each grade in a class is calculated into your cumulative gpa. This GPA is what colleges look at for determining eligibility in addition to other factors. An “NC” stands for No credit and an “AC” stands for Attendance Contract - this means you passed the class but did not receive credit for the class due to attendance (going over 6 in one trimester - note the 0 credit listed on the transcript). If you earned an “NC” you cannot get this credit back. You can earned credits back on an AC if you complete your attendance contract. An “I” means you have an incomplete in that class. You will receive no credit for this class until you complete it. Generally, if the class is not completed in 2 weeks you will receive an F in that class.
