Internship Guidelines

  • Reminder: These students are in college, without formal classroom training to be a teacher
  • The availability of interns will vary depending on college course schedules
  • Please consult the K-16 Team ASAP if a site placement, site supervisor, or job responsibilities change.
  • Host LEAs are responsible for informing Manpower of any issues related to the performance or conduct of student participants
    • Please do this early so we can try and take corrective action if possible

NOTE: Completing the Host LEA Application does not guarantee that students will be placed at an LEA.

The K-16 Collaborative will match student participants and LEAs based on student preferences and location. As a result, there may be sites that do not receive student placements.
