Mail Network Optimization Project

  • Mail Network Optimization project aims at improving the delivery efficiency of Speed Post/ Regd Post.
  • Initially this Project was introduced in metro cities and now extended to all the 89 Speed Post Sorting Hubs. In kurnool and Tirupati, MNOP implemented from July 2011
  • Many Key Performance Indicators were framed for effective implementation of this project.

At Booking Point:

1. To book the articles with correct Pincode.

2. To ensure booking scan and Bag despatch scans in Speednet / point of sale (for RLs)

3. To despatch the booked articles without delay.

4. To retain the station delivery articles.

5. To ensure updating the latest speednet version .

Role of Post offices in improving KPIs-2

At Delivery Point:

  1. To take receipt of Speed Post/ Regd post bags through system only.
  2. Sending out all articles received for delivery.
  3. To cross check the remarks of Postmen for ID served cases.
  4. To return the missent /RTS articles with correct remarks.
  5. To return “Insufficient Address” articles immediately.
  6. To monitor for BO delivery on daily basis and updating with correct date of delivery.
  7. To ensure updating the latest speednet version

Role of SPC

  • Check the Mail arrangements (both inward and Outward) to see Mails are received / despatched in time to Post offices / other Hubs without any delay.
  • MMS Schedules can be reviewed periodically to avoid delay/detention.
