Ice Packs

We are working with our local Meals on Wheels, local pharmacy, and local farmer's market. We donate our ice packs to them to reuse. These ice packs are cleaned and then packed up in boxes for reuse.

Program Success

  • Since its launch in 2017, the UAB Green Labs has grown from 20 labs to well over 100 labs today
  • Over 75,000 pounds of waste has been diverted from landfills.
  • Average lab conserves 3 homes’ worth of electricity per year after participating.
