This project focused on converting two sheet metal
finger guards on two different tractors to a single injected-molded plastic finger guard.

Results
Commonizing the two parts helped to increase the volume of the part, and thus, increase the cost savings while buying the part from the supplier and simplify the assembly instructions on the production line.
Also, converting from sheet metal to plastics helped in cost savings of about $400k/yr.
