Media Theory – refers to the complex of social-political-philosophical principles which organize ideas about the relationship between media and society.
Information Theory – studies the transmission, processing, utilization, and extraction of information.
Theories are the following;
Effects theory (Hypodermic Syringe, Inoculation) – What do media contribute to the audience?
Reception theory (Nationwide Audience) – What do audiences contribute to the media industry?
Use differentiated, developmentally appropriate learning experiences to address learners’ gender, needs, strengths, interests and experiences.(6)
