Mason’s Pro Tips

  1. Lots of printing and some teacher prep. (Pro Tip: laminate to reuse!)

  • Have a hard copy of the answer key handy!

  • Use any space you have - large wall, floor, or tables.

HERE’S THE PLAN…

  1. I will put you into Breakout Rooms for 10 minutes.

  • During that time, deep dive into your assigned NGPF MOVE Activity.
    1. Your Breakout Room number = your slide number = your assigned NGPF MOVE activity.

  • As you are reviewing your MOVE activity, completing the questions on your slide highlighting the key information for teachers to know about this activity.

Students will learn how their federal tax dollars are spent using a fun, out-of-their-seats whole-class challenge.

  • Print copies of the decks you plan to use.
  • Print the Teacher Answer Key.
  • Plan for how students will post the cards (tape, magnets, etc).

Taxes

  • Find a location where you have a bit of space as this activity takes up some room.
  • Use the discussion questions - either verbal discussion or a worksheet similar to this.
